Data Collection:
The Hungry Hetauda is restaurant app that delivers food to the user's doorstep, collects user data including full name, phone number, email, location, and profile picture upon accessing the app. Registration on the app requires the user to provide their full name, phone number, email, and password. User location data is only collected upon permission granted by the user, and it is recommended to do so to ensure accurate delivery. The current version of the app does not require storage access from the user's device, but it may be used in future updates. The User’s review on restaurants will be visible to everyone using this app. The purpose of collecting this data is to contact the user for food orders, and access to this data is restricted to the app owner or admin. User data may be shared with the delivery boy upon order confirmation only after a certain agreement is made to prevent misuse of the data. User passwords are encrypted for added security.
Security:
To ensure the security of the app, we have implemented SMS authentication. This means that when a user registers with their phone number, they will receive a 6-digit code that they must enter to verify their account. Only verified users will be able to access the app. Once a user logs in, a token will be stored in their device's local storage. This token will be used to authorize the user and fetch data such as restaurant and dish details. The token will expire after 24 hours of inactivity, after which the user will be redirected to the login page and will need to log in again to regain access.

The app provides users with control over their own data. Users can change their profile information, including their full name, email address, phone number, password, location, and profile picture, at any time within the app. This allows users to keep their information up to date and accurate, while also giving them greater control over their own data. But user can’t cancel the order there are valid reasons for not allowing cancellations, such as food preparation has already begun, or the delivery is already on its way. Also, currently there is no option to edit or delete the user’s review and ratings on restaurant.
The data collected by the app is then stored in our database including a log of any further changes to it. We do it for the cases of involvement of authorities. The data cannot be deleted for such reason but users can disable their account to make it invisible to any other users of the app.
We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data, we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
The Application may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the Application, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information.
